well the problem is that when you are searching for a product, you do not get an accurate idea of the actual money you would end up paying. Amazon was gaming junglee the same way. a lot of products would end up showing amazon as the cheapest. but they would only show the pricing on their international store. without shipping charges.
 
10% off on Standard Chartered on this store today. I just randomly picked a product costing Rs. 8000. Shipping was Rs. 4500 so there's that.
 
The shipping charges and import duty deposit itself end up being more than the mrp of the product and at the end which make this whole thing pointless for me ,if they want to promote international shopping they could at least lower the shipping rates considering the fact Amazon owns Amazon India and it can use that shipping network to be it economical for the customer
 

shipping charges will always be high on Amazon.com.using global shopping,i found ebay shipping charges by some sellers the cheapest followed by third party shippers like ishop international

on amazon when i tried to buy a 30 dollars Bluetooth earphones,,with shipping to india and customs deposit ,total came to 60 dollars which is a rip off,i could buy jabra ones with 60 dollars in india itself

global store is dead to me ever since GST came into effect. the import fees are ridiculous. alteast with gearbest/AliExpress, small items are spared of customs but Amazon is very prompt in collecting customs for even small things like hand grips/socks/gym belts etc
 
is there a price range as such for small items,i'm trying to get a smartwatch costing 7.5k from AliExpress,before GST it would have come around 700-900 bucks as customs,but now i'm just afraid if they would impose like 2-3k
 
earlier items under 2k used to be custom free. now gst also includes items under 2k.
but even after gst, I've got many items upto 4k without customs. though it depends on items I guess. ask the seller to devalue the item
 
yea but the devaluation thing doesn't work always IMO,i've been slapped customs even after the item being under valued once,i guess i'll just wait for a friend or a relative who can get it from US
 
Its totally unpredictable. I've got 60k worth drawing laptop charged with 3k customs and another order of studio lights with 80% customs.

what ive observed is if the items comes thru delhi customs, its fine and dandy but if it comes thru mumbai customs, you're fucke. whey protein from myprotein UK was charged 60% customs by these mumbai fucks recently. I've filed a complaint. lets see what happens

major reason ive stopped AliExpress and started using gearbest/Banggood is they always come thru delhi customs so its fair
