Alternative Routers (openwrt) for Reliance Jio

Hello,
The Jiofi3 mifi router is pretty locked down. Is there any alternative router which works with reliance network.

Ideally, I need a usb stick which can take the jio sim which I could use with an openwrt router.

unlocked Airtel 4g dongle works perfectly with jio sim. you can find unlocked airtel 4g dongles on Amazon/snapdeal/ebay etc. however only data will work, voice calling & sms will not.
