now it seems ok

im constantly getting 600KB/s from last 2 days

but not in torrents

in azureus i get - max 300KB/s ( in imtorrents site)

anyway to increase torrent speeds?

does tat IDM show bits as B . do a test at www.testmy.net and post the validation link. thn i wuld be convinced.

Well , katpaisn , do you use aksh ? If yes then you are entitled to get 2mbps of speed 256kBps ,

yes in browser its 700kbps

so speedtest is around 600-700 kbps

but in download manger with file split into 16 pieces i get 700KB/s

i dont care what u feel.

just tell me how to get those speeds in torrents .Is splitting the file possible in torrents just like download manager?

@cyrux: i use aksh BB . tats y i am doubting the speeds. from past 2 weeks those jerks r giving me max 90kBps speeds.@i_love_you : torrents is also a distributed system. a file is divided into many peices. mostly 512kb pieces. u dwnld different peices from different peers.so u dwnld/upload from different peers simultaneouslyalso do let me know, which plan r u in? and location.

any torrent client will split the file while downloading but uses same one port to downlaod.

i dont think dwnlding thru torrent using multiple port is possible, but uploading thru multiple ports is possible. u can open same file in different clients and assign different ports .

How do you guys manage to stay in 1Gb or 2Gb caps with such high speeds and how much do you pay for the serviceThe last time i contacted my Cable operator he was asking for 1Gb + NU pack = Rs 500 (100 bux extra)2GB+NU pack = Rs 800 (200 bux extra)and i finally ditched him So katspain and i_love , how much do you pay and for what plans

same price. i start dwnlding after 11pm 😀 and use auto pc shutdown s/ws to turn off my pc b4 6 am 😛and during day time 1Gb/month is sufficient for browsing n chatting.

i use 2GB nite unlimited accounts2GB speed 2Mbps = Rs 720 (including local cable guy charges)initial deposit of 500Rs for installation.(its actual Rs 600)But there have been many downtimes last week.Its said to rectified by now.
