Airtel Xstream Fiber Plus (Airtel Xstream Fiber Mesh)

Probably a Mesh WiFi solution? There’s no info on it anywhere except for one or two news reports. Could be something akin to Jio’s offering.

This is the site that tries to explain something but couldn't get !

Folks around here , please share your expertise
What is it that airtel is trying to do ?

Extend using devices = mesh. Jio already has announced their own mesh solutions so seems logical Airtel would announce it as well.

we would find out soon enough. they might offer the extenders for free for people on high end plans. but these devices cost a lot of money so it seems unlikely because it would just increase their logistics costs unless they charge people for a full year in advance.

I guess they probably will lend out the mesh if you pay in advance for long duration (a year?) higher end plans
Seems like the most logical idea
I doubt many would be willing to invest in a mesh system in one go, it's rather expensive

plus i assume you would not own the mesh. plus it would be probably from some unknown chinese brand.

Tip - You can also put your 2nd router in bridge mode making it act as a dummy AP where DHCP and other settings will be handled by the main router
Makes switching more seamless
