I have been experiencing problems with the Airtel connections in South Delhi. I have 2 connections, one is a 8mbps broadband connection, the other is a 16mbps VDSL connection.
On some servers based in the US and UK (GoDaddy and justhost/bluehost), I have been getting extremely slow download speeds. The server admins of these destination servers say it is an ISP routing related problems.
I get speeds of 40-50 kbps for all downloads from these servers.
Below are a couple of test scenarios we ran:
1. Any airtel connection in South Delhi......40-50 kbps download speed from these servers
2. MTNL Connection anywhere in Delhi...normal speeds
3. Nextra connection anywhere in Delhi...normal speeds
4. Airtel connection outside of South Delhi....normal speeds.
Airtel connections in south delhi pick up the gateway with ip: 122.176.127.157. The issue I believe is at this gateway.
