This is only for Chennai I believe.

File is in xls format. You rename to .xls once you download and check with Excel.

the interesting part is...heh just that nothing interesting at all.

2 mbps plans Residential Plansall have limits of 3, 2 & 1 GB the home 999 plan is the only unlimted @256kbs which it has been for the last 2-3 yrs running now.

the other unlimited option is the Rs.10k option @512kbs..are they kidding ? you could get 8 residential @256k connections for that price, which leads me to think this is a limit imposed by fear of streaming. If they offer 512k+ unlimited, guess what everyone will do, why yes streaming etc, how much bandwidth will that consume !!

Ppl that know nothing about where to download shit will just hit youtube etc and what were once sedentary consumers turn up monthly downloads in the 10s of GBs. Airtel's monthly download bill for the country might go up by a factor of 10 !!!

Even if they do see a similar uptake in number of new connections sold, the bandwidth requirements will still be even more.

Therez no change in the existing plans.. Very sad.. Makes no difference to most of us.

I think for casual internet surfing some of the options are attractive, there are many choices.But thats like for very sednentary stuff, more power users are stuck on 256kbs for some time to come i fear.
