Hi,I have recently applied for an Airtel broadband connection. I already have a Linksys BEFSX41 cable/dsl router with me. This being the case, which is the recommended modem to go for. I would prefer an Ethernet modem which is compatible with my router.I would also like to know if Airtel (or for that matter any other SP's) provice VoIP services in India.Thanks,psyansp3

Airtel will provide you with a 220 bx ethernet modem, that can be configured as PPPoE connection, which can be connection directly to the WAN port of your router..

if u have a cable/dsl router you might not need airtel's modem... you probably can setup your Linksys to do the PPPoE dialling into Airtel, why not try it

They do (net4india.com / phonewala.com) but they their charges are higher.

If you are planning to call US/EU/AUS with VOIP, use an account with Vonage/Sipphone etc it should work just fine with airtel.
