Airtel GPRS in Punjab

I'm coming to India (Punjab) for around 2-3 weeks from next Wednesday, and am looking to get an Airtel pay as you go simcard. I'm interested in also getting a GPRS allowance; how does GPRS data work with Airtel in Punjab? Is there a daily/weekly/monthly fee, and how much data can be transferred? Sorry if this question sounds simple, but it seems like Airtel is always changing their prices/deals with GPRS, and it's a bit confusing for someone who's used to the same deal every year over here in the UK!

Airtel GPRS works fine in punjab and there is monthly plan cost 500 Rs. for 30 days unlimited data usage.For Activation/Deactivation of GPRSpack @ Rs 500/ Monthcustomer needs to call121. Customer can smsMOM for activation andUMO to 52696 fordeactivation. Todeactivate you may alsocall 121 or send Email [email protected]

Thanks for the info, but this seems like it's for a monthly contract, not for a pay as you go account?

if u dont want rental packs . then default airtel gprs cost 30 paise per 50 KB .this shud b avialable without any rentals even in punjab
