airtel dth set top box replacement

Anyone here has any experience with airtel towards set top box replacement? What do they charge? Do they give you new set top box...

Remote sensor at the dth doesn't respond sometimes.. lately it doesn't respond for days.

If you bought in recent days means before the warranty period (possibly 1 year) they will replace it... else they may say to pay you... giving silly reasons like if u have kids... they may droped, etc.,

If the remote has a defect they will just replace your remote for free if warranty period is not over otherwise they will charge or you need to buy a adtv remote from a dth shop, pric may be Rs. 150 - 350 & if you favour of replace stb then I dont have any advice.

I have the dth from 2009... the remote is perfectly fine. The dth set-top box has a problem. I have mailed airtel let's see what happens next!
