@Addicted_A1 isn't there an check for updates function in your version of linux (which one?) that automatically updates system components and drivers...something like Windows or even pfsense (freeBSD) does. I have not tinkered with Linux for ages and not familiar with the modern builds.
 
@Chip I will have to try many other mirrors lets see , I found a single thread speed test from wget -O /dev/null http://speedtest.tele2.net/10GB.zip gives me around 11,10, 7 MB/s that's fine for upgrade on max 120Mbps bandwidth . Still doent explain my other KB/s benchmarks .
If ONT was slow it wouldnt't be going to 120 on torrent.
 
@Addicted_A1 which linux distro?

If ubuntu based try the "apt-fast" tool if you can search for it...
 
Google Drive single file download is working full 120mbps . But github dosent
Using a VPN gives me faster downloading speed than this
After searching a lot I found a good German mirror for my linux upgrade gives 7MB/s

@Addicted_A1 the Nokia is not the bottleneck...it's probably a routing issue. Though I am on Airtel myself the route from my connection will differ from yours due to location. I am geographically closer to the intl. gateway in Mumbai so that obviously gives lower latencies. Try and do a trace route to see where it screws up.
 
@Chip yeh its likely routing issue Traceroute to what ? it only works on till github.com website can be cached near by but the download file can be on far server.

ap.south-1 seems to be a south asia (asia pac) node possibly in India itself.
 
@Chip what does that means compared to mine not good in networks , If connecting usa VPN gives me MBps download instead of KBps then surely they are checking domain name and setting priority ?

I think its the priorty issue depending on the time when u reboot ur internet and load
From 17 June 6PM I was getting poor servive on 18th engineers retested the Rx optics with lazer but didnt from main box one time It did get better connection like previous MBps but they left on KB/s
On 19th after they fixed Rx optics and resumed around 4PM speed was same KB/sec
Now Today 20th In morning I didnt reboot , so my connection somehow got the priority ? will have to test few more reboot on diff times.

@Addicted_A1 Route to Google seems to have changed, right from 11 hops to 9? Fewer the better. As for github it is still trying after hop 13 and there's no response thereafter. Just comparing it to my tracert - your google route ends at the delhi server while in my case it is routed to mumbai...naturally. For github I get a trace route complete in 17 hops while your connection is still trying...routing tables somewhere on the route are erroneous..maybe after hop 13 because it can't trace beyond that remote router/system.
