You need to pay a minimum monthly subscription to use the OTT apps via Airtel XStream DTH Box.

I placed a new connection request through Airtel app for 499 plan. Will be hearing from them tomorrow hopefully. I read that this 499 plan is Prepaid only. Can someone confirm this? And how much initial cost should I be looking at ? Internet guesstimates put it around 1770 inclusive of GST, provided installation location is within 100 m of their Distribution box.

^^ i think they are postpaid.
while taking connection we can pay 3,6,12 months in prepaid. but after that it's post paid.

no it will be prepaid always when we delay to recharge again services will be suspended happened with me

No. It's postpaid but some changes. We have to pay in advance/
If we don't pay it will be stopped .
If we pay in the middle of the month. we don't get full month.
Not paid for 1 month. connection discconected. *May be need to pay activation charges of 1000 or so

@Sudarshan61 Rs.1000 activation fee will be waived off when opting for 799 and above plans in 3-12 months ARP. Not sure about 499 plan in ARP

@Gokul Kannan Airtel has two charges.
Installation charges or wiring charges and Activation charges (This gets waived if taken on 3 months+ for 799 and above plan)
I was looking for wiring charges. ....has Airtel scrapped that?
