Airtel Broadband seems to be offering 1mbps as post FUP speed in more cities

So Airtel upgraded the post fup speeds of at least the 1099/1299 plans to 1mbps from 512kbps recently. No idea if valid for lower rental plans as well.

P.S-Missing out on that 1000 GB free for a year thing is a bugger. Airtel is always weird that way, openly differentiating between customers, giving offers to new customers but not old ones.

^ What about NCR? How to check if post FUP speed has been increased? I still have data left so cant check speed as such. and on smartbytes page it says -
You are left with only 18 GB of high-speed data limit. Once you consume that, your speed will be reduced to 512 Kbps for next 7 day(s)

I am seeing my plan in the latest bill as 40MBPS/1 MBPS

Yes, even on my bill it's 40mbps/1mbps. Not bad compared to 512kbps.

It's showing as 512 Kbps for me but the CC said the page is not updated and the FUP speeds are now 1 Mbps for VDSL users. There is only one way to find out 😀

It does seems like that. They don't even offer ADSL in my area anymore.
