Airtel Broadband is pushing plan upgrades over Smartbytes

Airtel Smartbytes page is offering 95gb extra data for rs 200 now.My Location is gurgaon.My connection meter is stuck so wont need it for now but looks very tempting if my connection gets reset when my cycle finishes on 1st of may.We can easily get around 200+ gb with 1299+200 plan with 125gb + 95gb.

at these prices, it might be smarter to stay on the 899 plan and get smartbytes as required.
 
I think this one time activation data addon only.We wont be able to use it multiple times as they still have the older smartbytes plans listed.Is the offer of 95gb visible for everyone.It might be available for few only is my guess

lol this is definitely a plan upgrade. Instead of upgrading the existing plan Airtel is trying to push users into higher rental plans.

Plans have been upgraded for Chennai.

You were on 1499, 150 GB earlier and the for extra 500 you would actually get the new plan with 350GB data. Or you can ask them to upgrade your existing plan to 225GB at no extra cost.
 
They aren't saying anything about existing plan upgrades for free, instead they push us to next level plan, what a cunning move by airtel like you say @manojrk .
 
@manojrk - Yes, I saw your earlier post. Thanks. I've asked 121@in.airtel.com for relevant details. Once they replied, I'll switch or even downgrade. Because like I said in the Chennai thread, I now have ACT also. 225GB DL; 100mbps @Rs.1499.

EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, you're in Anna Nagar (near rountana, right?)

Same and same city.
Assuming you downgrade to the Rs. 999 - 100GB plan and opt for this Rs. 500 top-up, won't you get 300GB for 1499 , which is more than the offered 225GB?
