so my sim was basically dead when i woke up earlier today. was not even showing the network icon. it was like there was no sim in the phone.
always a headache because i don't have aadhaar and that tends to be a problem sometimes.
anyhow. went to the company owned outlet in my local market where i have managed to get things done without aadhaar.
lady on the counter did not push for aadhaar. said alternative id would be just fine. sim was replaced. started working in around 3 hours. and strangely, sms started working on the spot as well.
