A while back, I had purchased the Airtel 4G hotspot when they still had their 100GB plans. Unfortunately, 100GB is too low, and I have very poor coverage from Jio in my area.
So I enquired whether I could upgrade the plan, and they asked me to buy a new SIM and put in the hotspot. This SIM has their 500GB plan.
But what I've noticed is that when put in the hotspot, the connection keeps dropping, and I feel like maybe Airtel is not innocent here, because I don't seem to face this problem when I put my 100GB card in my hotspot.
What could be the cause? And any way for me to use the 500GB card in my hotspot without Airtel messing with my connection?
Btw, I spoke to their customer care, and they were insistent that my 500GB card is supposed to be used in my phone and it's causing connection issues because it's in the hotspot. Only hotspot card will work properly in hotspot, was all I could get out of them.
