HiI have read thru all the posting w.r.t config of the ADSL MT 880 modem. I use WinXP with SP2 and use the standard PPPoE dialler without any IP addresses to dial and connect. Connection is fine, no issues. Since I use a laptop which I also use in my office, this is my preferred method of connection. Now, I have upgraded my home comp. and would like to use the non-dialup method, wherein, I would like to be connected to BSNL without going thru the dialup. I have read up the steps wherein, I have to visit 192.168.1.1 and configure. I wanted to know whether, I need to re-set my modem to the standard factory setting (by resetting thru the pin hole?). Is my modem set to the 'Bridge connection' now? (In the present dialup method). Is it OK for me to visit the above IP, reconfigure , "WAN Type" from "PPP" to "RFC2684Bridged with the user ID and Pwd? Wud be grateful for a response.

not ppp to bridged i think its the other way around... select ppp then the page changes to display PPPoA and PPPoE - pick PPPoE

bah... im too lazy to type see http://appaji.net/ for the bsnl "how to" page

Many thanks. And in the current mode that I dial in, what is the mode my ADSL has been configured as? Do I need to reset thru the pin hole?

Many thanks for the 'appaji' link. I have configured the model following the guide and it is working fine as I had desired. Thanks to all.
