i have an airtel 256 connection on which i have beetel 220 bx modemmy problem is : can i use the same beetel 220 bx modem in mtnl triband or i have to hire a modem from mtnl

yes you can use the same modem....Sushubh, hehe that was funny! 😛
 
think the only diff. b/w MTNL and airtel is that while the former uses PPPoE, the latter uses PPPoA. Most modems support both modes.
 

Pardon my ignorance but isnt there a difference between ADSL and ADSL 2+ modems that MTNL cliams to be selling?
 
Neither Airtel nor MTNL have implemented ADSL2 or 2+. Rest of the ADSL standards like G.DMT (ITU G992.1) ;G.Lite (ITU G992.2) and T1.413-1998 Issue 2 are supported by most of the present class of modems. So its really a non-issue whether it would work or not.
 
not worried abt support coz the guy i bought the router from is a IT netowrking pro who knows all abt his stuff 😛thnx for answering my question 🙂
