They are advertising low latency and high speeds whereas in where I live, Madurai, the pings are mostly over minimum 25ms, and upload speeds are deteriorating every day that passes.

I know right. I'm using the plan and never had speed drops. Sometimes it even went to 180. It's an amazing price but the ping to any server sucks big time.
