Absurd Bsnl Bill

@/thebaltant/ If he is satisfied, A.O can waive the amount .You have to convince him
that the D/L were during free usage time ( 0200-0800).
Check with your 14digit portalID and password your January usage at
http://p3hosting.bsnl.in:9080/BroadBandCustomerPortal/
Take a print out.
If you don't have the ID and password contact your Exchange. or personally meet some tech guys.

bsnl portal for new customers is showing "no usage records found" for any month since 13feb so no help from the portal for now regarding usage.

@thebaltant : addthese : 735=48+1000+1500+250+500+355+43( modem rent)=Rs 4383/48 ...............................( can be different ).......service tax 12%= Rs 530/=........................................................................ Total = Rs 4913/83All calculations approximate. Total bill Rs 7139 - 4913 = Rs 2226/ less 12% Service tax Rs 266= Rs 1960/=At @ Re 1 per MB extra download you are charged extra usage about say 2 GB

oh yeah, i am not alone, i think they introduced a new buy in their billing program. I got a bill for Rs.21,000/- and my total download is 20 GB, but 19 GB of them is during 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.

How You assumed that ?
NO. From the figures you gave, I tried to work out possible excess usage beyond free quota
1817 M.B. Probably the NU ( 5031 MB includes free period . downloads.)
5031MB @ 80 paise /MB = Rs 4025/= ( you could get some relief here , provided the detailed usage is available day by day )
You should have given the bill in full and have omitted the Service Tax.
Para two : Another way.
Rs 4383. less Rs 1500 = 2883+4025= total amount Rs 6908
Tax at 12% on ( 6908-(1000+500+1500)=Rs 3908 Rs 468/= Total Rs 7336/= ???
(But Installation charges 500 1500 is confusing. for Plan 500 ? Not possible.)
What is the Service Tax shown in your bill ?? how many telephone calls were charged ?
That is why I asked you to extract the usage details fast..
