they were also trying to get these companies to preload bhim on phones. not sure if that's happening already.

the number used to be 1947. now it is a 1800 number. lots of people on twitter are reporting that this new updated number just landed on their phones.

either google is pushing it on android phones. did not see any confirmation by an iPhone user. there are also reports that government apps also add this (along with other numbers) if you give them permission to modify contacts.

grr. 1800 is the older number. 1947 is the new one. but google seems to be still adding 1800 number on brand new android installs (even emulators).
