Hi, Has anybody setup Azureus to run as a cron job on a linux setup . I think it involves setting up a DISPLAY variable and redirecting Azureus to it . try as i might i cannot get the command right . also apologise if the thread seems to be in the wrong forum .

Seeting DISPLAY variable to some virtual framebuffer based X server is an option.Another option is to use this command:java -jar Azureus2.jar --ui=console

Just set the DISPLAY, JAVA_HOME, AZUREUS_HOME/PATH or PROGRAM_DIR properly. I have it setup in bridged mode for completely automated downloads everyday 🙂

instead of azureus use azureusd. thats it.

DISPLAY=:0 wud work only if user is logged in, once user logs out then that app will also close (as it will lose the display/X)daemon mode is more suited
