the basic problem is that I already have a card. i have paid the annual fee for it in september last year.
now, they believe that my existing card is not safe so i should have a grid based card. i did not ask for a new card. i did not lose my old card. they are practically forcing me to upgrade to their new grid based card.
they have issued me the card. but whatever system they used to deliver the card to me has failed. so i dont have access to that card.
the problems?
they have charged the annual fee for this new card again. from what i see i have paid the charges for having a debit card till september this year. and they did say in the original notification that the card is being issued for free.
they have activated the card in my online banking so i cannot conduct most online transactions coz i cannot verify the validation process coz i do not have the card with me. So basically they activated my card in their system without even making sure that i have received the card.
i hope i explained my issues clearly.
i have contacted the customer support with my queries. they say they are sending the card to my nearest branch. i have been to my branch multiple times in the last couple of days. they are yet to get my card.
i have also asked the customer care to clarify the repeated annual fee. they say, all members are required to pay the annual fee. the point is that i am being forced to pay it twice.
