Direct during this speedtest. Had to upgrade to cat6 cables to get full speeds. You need a gigabit router and machine to get speeds over 100 Mbps.

A decent cat 5e patch cable should be enough for gigabit speeds.
ACT uses cat 5e (or cat5??) cable from the panel to your home.

Yeah you're right, cat6 was overkill. 🙂 ACT uses 5e from the panel.
