So i am recording DTH content onto my Pen drive. But when i insert my Pen drive to PC. VLC player doesn't play the file. The extension is .db4

How can i convert .db4 file to .avi or other extensions?

Also is there a way to convert avi/wmv/mp4 files to db4 so as to play it on my DTH box?

you cannot

they are encrypted

Those .db4 files may contain recording from several programmes recorded. I have not seen actual files for Airtel DTH, but for some operator, when I checked HDD for recording, there were several files each of 1GB size. So I think programmes are recorded in same file, and after file size reach certain limit, another file is created. We cannot differentiate recordings by looking at file. Does all .db4 files found on Airtel have same or different size?
