50Mbps plan automatic logout issue?

Before I upgraded to the 50 Mbps docsis 3 plan I was told that there won't be any automatic logout but even after upgrading I'm logged out every 6 hours.

My friend has a 50 Mbps plan with Hathway but he never gets logged out.

Both of us are in Bangalore itself. I also know someone in Mumbai with Hathway 50 Mbps plan but he doesn't face automatic logout either.

Can I ask Hathway to disable automatic logout without charging any additional fees?

Actually if you call them and provide reason like "parents don't know how to login into internet" they can do it for you free of cost.

its actually just a moneymaking gimmick .... they have a service called static IP that costs extra .... you have to pay the extra money to avoid it from getting disconnected frequently

It's not. Some rogue application/virus may keep on downloading in background and this may cause fup to be used up. Automatic logging off prevents this.

Send a mail to delteam@hathway.net to disable it and give some convincing reasons. They will disable it within 48 hours.

resmon is a windows app that shows you what is consuming data right now. just run it from run window.

resmon is a windows app! though a bit complicated for casual computer users.
