How to configure BB in a New Hardisk..?

Hello friends,

Iam new to this forum. Came across while I was searching for solution to a problem.

I had been using BSNL BB for last 8 months.. Now I have upgraded my hard disk (purchased new one of higher capacity), I want to configure BB in my new Hardisk. Can anybody tell me how to do this..

I am using Windows XP with SP2.
My ADSL modem: Huawei SmartAX MT800.
I tried configuring Lan connection as i took note of the IP details in my Older hardisk. Given below are the details:

IP Address: 192.168.1.xxx
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Preferred DNS: 192.168.1.1
Alternate DNS: 61.1.96.69

But I could not connect to Net. I need your help here.. Should Ihave to configure anything in the ADSL modem..?

Also I could not access the following address which is used to configure the Modem.

http://192.168.1.1/.

It says that the page cannot be displayes..

^ you have already posted this problem on another thread .There was no need to start a thread for the same problem .Anyway , try resetting the modem ( power on modem ; usea safetypin to push a micro switch in reset hole for about ten seconds ) and reconfigure your modem settings ...
