Use a VPN service then, there are plenty available for free.

http over VPN is unsafe.

May be Government can not see what you did, but VPN service provider can track everything.

https takes care of both! https is a standard, http is getting deprecated (not in few years though)

Google Chrome would soon start showing http sites as insecure sites!

Strange. In any case HSTS should not be needed to be removed as https is enabled on the forum.
Try resetting the browser if possible. That should also clear HSTS settings!

Ok ,cool! How do i backup my login information and forms from comodo dragon. Any app to do offline backup? I'm in no mood to fill all the crap again. Google only backup my bookmarks through comodo but login data is not saved in the cloud.

I'll uninstall comodo by deleting any data associated with it and download newer of it. I hope it fix it!

HTTP may be unsafe either way but you do not need https to run a public forum , do you ? An attacker will probably choose a banking system over a public forum any day ! SSL Encryption also comes at cost of system resources, if someone wants to sneak into your privacy he'll probably find a way to do the same.

even blogs owners are now implementing https so there must be a reason, these days it has become a standard

the admin is cool about the costs of system resources, ssl cert so no worries here

only because there is a probability of getting hacked doesn't mean I should set my pass to 1234

the majority of forum users here including admin wants https, thats the reason why he bought the ssl cert in the first place, so its not only me who is in favor of https

@chromaniac can you add a poll here so we could know users' opinion about https or not

just because you do not want to reset your browser or whatever to fix your problem, everyone else should go through the hassle of purchasing and configuring VPN.

Dude you're not understanding the issue here, once in a while Admin do something fishy on his end and we get this "This Webpage has a redirect loop" situation. Going back and forth between http and https create exact problem.

So in my situation If clearing hsts settings works then it's fine else i've to reset the whole browser. I'm sure there are more people out there having similar issues.(we already have couple of threads about it now).

As long as redirection back to https works, i'm fine with it Everyone wants smooth transition between http and https version! If it's working, Absolutely fine!

arey bhai. hsts needed reseted because i redirected https to http. browser kept on trying to load https because of hsts settings. that caused the redirect loop. now redirection has been removed. so no hsts clearance is required.

http and https both are there on this forum.

I think you can pick whichever you want after your https issue is fixed.

And @yepp is right just because you have issue does not mean that everyone should change standard way of access!

🙂

https is future!

Logouts are happening on both Desktop and mobile browsers. How do i remain logged in on mobile browser?
