I'm thinking of purchasing a D-Link modem model GLB 502T. Please let me know how good/bad it is. I remember reading somewhere about a (over)heating problem.

Also, about the D-Link ADSL2+ 4-PORT ROUTER model DSL-2540T.

Thanks.

I started using D-link GLB-502T since January. This is in AC room. It gave no problems so I bought another for another connection in non-AC room. No problems with either. Gets a bit warm, but does not affect anything. Also it seems to be very fast moving item because January one was given Dec date on box and February one was given Jan date on box. I believe the older firmware was a bit glitchy. It seems freely available while other models/brands were not so I went for it. Very easy basic setup. Other complications I have not tried.
