Disconnection Problems

past couple of days, my internet just stops responding i.e, cant open a web page, messengers signout, downloads stop etc etc. if i disconnect, it wont let me connect back, simply says connecting to wan port. i have to manually switch off my modem and put it back on and then log back in. any suggestions?? besides calling CC...oh and im on windows xp and using beetel 220bx modem
 
USB or Ethernet?
 
i was also havin the same problem, but only when i was connected to USB, never tried on LAN port... and as of now, i've other router.. that Beetle 220 BX is jus like kachhra, lyin in my houseask airtel to change router
 
they said it will only be replaced with another beetel modem and so i changed it. the problem still continues....any suggestions? could it be bcause my modem is connected through my UPS ?
