Never Take Tata Indicom!

tata sucks.. had the worst possible experience with them.. man.. every chance i get, i tell ppl not to take it.. i cant belive how much trauma they caused!!
 
My experience with them has been very good guys! I don't know whats wrong on your end.

Hey Crazysah,

How many days do you have TATA Indicom Broadband? I'm planning to get the upto 2 Mbps Plan this month. Was on 64 Kbps all these years and BSNL is not providing broadband in our area.

Please let me know.

I, myself, have had a very bad experience wid Tata Indicom..Moreover, i've heard dat dey often get involved in billing hasslesI, personally, would discourage Tata B)
 
Hi Guys!I've read the forum and come to know abt TATA's bad things.All these years I am on a 64 Kbps Internet. Frankly I'm fed up with it. I wanted BSNL but, the officers in BSNL office say it's still not in my area.There is no other provider offerring 2 Mbps Internet in my area.Hence, I have limited options. What do u guys recommend?@SushubhYeah, I've pulled it down. It will be back up soon.

Again Airtel is not there in my area 🙁

I have MTNL Triband 2 Mbps in my office dedicated for me and I have now become habitual to that speed 😀

So, I need to upgrade my Net at home to 2 Mbps as well.

If only BSNL has started releasing connection in my area. I'll ask them again coz, TATA will also be giving the connection from my landline like BSNL. So, may be BSNL is offering now.

Do POOR services with TATA-indicom surprise anyone of you [anymore]?

Come on... get real, the ISP is cheating us on a daily basis... no credits for downtimes, no credits for drops in speeds, no toll-free numbers that we can call when we have issues... basically NO SERVICE GUARANTEES FOR US AT ALL !! ... all at a very high price!

Stand up and stop taking the nonsense... write to the CMD, VSNL/ TATA-indicom (for Broadband services!).

I am New Delhi and had a awful 2 weeks but ever since then and all the time before that it was excellent! I called them up when it was not working and asked them what was the problem... they sent a engineer and I followed him... It was actually a cable cut and some bastard was consistently cutting it! Now my connection has been fine for a month and it is amazing! So do take Tata Broadband because they are not the ones who cause problems. Some other asshole people cut the cables and cause problems!
 
There is a simple reply to that, 'Crazysah': ... whatever reason there may be for the connections being down ... even if fibre optic cables (FOCs) get cut or copper wires (CWs) get stolen, it shouldn't be made the Consumer's problem -- it is and always will be the ISPs (i.e. TATA Indicoms) problem!!! It is simply as follows:If you pay for a 'pair of shoes', you buy exactly two shoes!But if you just get 'one shoe', what do you want to do... hop around on one leg? It's like that with ISP services. Don't let then get away with it.I have stopped accepting their 'one shoe solution', specially since I am paying for 'a pair'! So, stand up and shout out really loud.;-)
 
@crazysahok in ur case.. i wud say not tatabb fault but what took them 2 weeks?!i dont have tataBB anymore but their lan cable is still coming to my house. and i see so much of network flooding. this is because switch is faulty. its been so from 1 or 2 months. they havent cared to change switch.i dont care though but i am sure ppl in my building are still facing the problem, which is there from 1 and half year now. every 6 months their switch goes bad and they replace it with some repaired switch which again wud last only few months.oh and i know why its not changed from 2 months this time.. because i am not there to call them everyday for 2weeks. i tell them "not to give stupid excuses and change switch". other ppl in building dont know much abt networking so they just accept their excuse.
