do i have to change the stb ?

i have first make of reliance stb that has a component and composite out .i still has a crt tv but planning to buy led tv .
1.do i have to change the normal stb to hd stb .does current HDTVs has component in.
2. does sd channels look bad on a HDTV ? and also there are very few HD channels on RDTV.
3. does reliance charge extra HD fee for watching HD content through HDMI?

better to dump reliance and get either videocon or Tata Sky. and you would most likely need a newer model if you want to enjoy hd content.

don't really have any problem with RDTV except they have bad channels package and are just increasing their package prices .i will change when it will too much to bear and also i am not a savvy TV viewer .as i said there are very few HD channels .one channel will HD and rest be SD .so ,why should i pay more to just view one or two HD channel ?

Quality of SD TV on a HDTV would be kind of bad. But you would not really mind it if you have not seen a lot of HD content on a HDTV.
