TIKONA Gaming and internet problem

I'll tell what's my problem. I'm Sibi from Anna Nagar west Extension, Chennai.

I use 4 mbps connection. I get disconnected then and there frequently. I use internet mostly for Online gaming like CS:GO, Dota 2 etc and watching youtube videos sometimes. I use cable internet so i know i'm not using a poor internet.

What's my problem:
1. Is 4 mbps(491 KB/sec transfer rate) & 430kbps(60-62 KB/sec transfer rate) good for gaming?
2. If not, Which Plan or Broadband is best for gaming in my area(Anna Nagar west Extension, Chennai)?
3. If i install Router, will i have a stable internet for online gaming?

NOTE 1: I don't have YOU Broadband and ACT Broadband in my area.

NOTE 2: "kbps" DIFFERS from "KBps". kbps = kilobits, KBps = kilobytes.

you need to focus on pings rather than speed for your gaming experience.
 
ask around for what options are available.
find customers using those services.
get them to check their pings on the gaming servers you play on.
make a decision.

to the best of my knowledge, you do not really need 4mbps connection for online gaming.
