900+ plan(256 kbps) speed...only 30 kbps

Hey friends...i have 900+ plan...dataone in vadodara.........i got only 30 kbps speed???? is it ok....can any one tell me What speed should come...plz help me out.....
 
I think you should post this thread in the BSNL Dataone section
 
The maximum speed BSNL provides for UL home plans is 256kbps. So u should be getting a maximum of 32kBps. So dont worry, u are getting the rated speeds according to your plan.

kbps = kilo bits per second
kBps = kilo bytes per second

1 Byte = 8 bits.
so, 1 kBps = 8 kbps. And thats why the calculation suggested by cool_techie_vm: 32 kBps = 32 * 8 kbps which is 256 kbps.

Your windows download displays the speed in kB / Sec which is kBps
