Hello Everyone,

However, in the Bill its showin as Previous Balance(694)- Last Payment(695)+ Adjustments(795)+ Current Charges(1064)= Account Balance(1859)= Amount Payable(1860). However i am told to pay 1064 which does not include adjustments, can anyone tell me what does this adjustments stand for?
Will this amount be include din my next bill? (BSNL has such bizzard billing, its difficult to understand).
Kindly Help! Than in advance.

Whats the plan you took? Mostly BSNL has a security deposit component as well, was that paid before?

Bill for 'Aug + Sep' explained:
===
Security deposit for BB Home UL 545 (1 month) = 545
Installation Charge for BB Home UL 545 = 250
Adjustments = Security deposit for BB Home UL 545 (1 month) + Installation Charge for BB Home UL 545 = 545 + 250 = 795

Fixed charges for General Urban LL for Aug = 195
Fixed charges for General Urban LL for Sep = 195
Fixed charges for BB Home UL 545 for 2014-Sep-12 to 2014-Sep-30 (on pro rata basis) => 19 days = 545/30 * 19 = 345.17
Usage charges for LL+BB for Aug + Sep = 235.8
Discount on Usage charges for LL+BB for Aug + Sep = 51
===
Current Charges = 195 + 195 + 345.17 + 235.8 - 51 = 919.97

Account Balance = Previous Balance - Last Payment + Adjustments + Current Charges after taxation = 694.95 - 695 + 795 + 1064.58 = 1859.53
Amount Payable = 1860

Amount Payable(1860). However i am told to pay 1064 which does not include adjustments

You've to pay 1860 and NOT 1064.

Will this amount be include din my next bill?
No. Check expected/estimated amount payable for your next bill below.

Starting from Oct your bill is monthly instead of bimonthly.

Your next bill for Oct (expected/estimated):
[assuming your usage charges + discount for LL+BB for Oct are half of what you had in Aug + Sep]

Fixed charges for General Urban LL for Oct = 195
Fixed charges for BB Home UL 545 for Oct = 545
Usage charges for LL+BB for Oct = 117.9
Discount on Usage charges for LL+BB for Oct = 25.5
==
Current Charges = 195 + 545 + 117.9 - 25.5 = 832.4
Taxable Charges = Current Charges = 832.4
==
Service Tax on Taxable Charges = 832.4 * (12/100) = 99.888 = 99.89
Edu. Cess on Taxable Charges = 832.4 * (0.24/100) = 1.99776 = 2.00
Higher Edu. Cess on Taxable Charges = 832.4 * (0.12/100) = 0.99888 = 1.00
==
Current Charges after taxation = Current Charges + Total Taxes/Cess = 832.4 + (99.89 + 2 + 1) = 832.4 + 102.89 = 935.29
==
Previous Balance = 1859.53
Last Payment = 1860
Account Balance = Previous Balance - Last Payment + Adjustments + Current Charges after taxation = 1859.53 - 1860 + 0 + 935.29 = 934.82
Amount Payable = 935
================
Did you pay Rs. 500 as deposit while applying for BB? It's mentioned right under "Loyalty Point", check "Deposit" field.

If yes, then BSNL did not deduct the 500. The deposit deduction should have reflected in the "Last Payment" field.
Last Payment should have been: 695 + 500

Account Balance = Previous Balance - Last Payment + Adjustments + Current Charges = 694.95 - (695 + 500) + 795 + 1064.58 = 1359.53
Amount Payable = 1360

Therefore, "Amount Payable" should have been: 1860 - 500 = 1360

Ok thanx a lot for that brief explanation, 1 thing , is that Broadband Security Deposit refundable?

is that Broadband Security Deposit refundable?
Yes. Once you surrender BB and verification is complete, BSNL will issue a cheque in the name of the account holder and mail it to the address registered with the account. Same goes for the Security Deposit for your LL.
===
Also if you ever upgrade your plan to say "BBG ULD 795"

Security deposit for BB Home UL 545 (1 month) = 545 (you've already paid this)
Security deposit for BBG ULD 795 (1 month) = 795

BSNL will charge you = 795 - 545 = 250

If you again downgrade to BB Home UL 545, BSNL will deduct 250 from the payable amount.

Can you answer this?

No i dont remember i've paid them 500 rs/- but do they normally charge 195 rs for the landline product? its way too much rent for a dumb product per month and secondly if i make my landline incoming (close outgoing) does it have any problem as i have broadband now?
Thanx a lot for your detailed explaination. Much appreciated

but do they normally charge 195 rs for the landline product?
Yes. Check the basic LL tariff here: Basic tariff Of BSNL Landline

Your LL connection/plan falls under the "Urban" category where residential subscribers are between 30000 and 99999 [GENERAL-URBAN-GT-30000] ('GT' means 'greater than') hence the 195. So according to the basic tariff, Rs. 195 as monthly fixed charge is minimum for your area.

secondly if i make my landline incoming (close outgoing) does it have any problem as i have broadband now?
I don't think disabling outgoing facility/calls will affect the fixed monthly charge for LL in any way as it's the basic rate. BSNL might still charge you Rs. 195 every month. Check with your exchange to confirm... see if they can provide you with any concessional tariff/plan if outgoing facility/calls are disabled. It's highly unlikely they will.

Given your bimonthly LL Usage charges for 'Aug & Sep' (235.8 - 51 = 184.8), disabling outgoing facility/calls *might* reduce your monthly payable amount by say 184.8 / 2 = 92.4 (as the LL Usage will be NIL). That's the only plus point.

Another option:
If you change your BB plan from BB Home UL 545 to BB Home Combo UL 675, you won't have to pay the fixed monthly charge for LL (Rs. 195) anymore. Check here: http://bsnl.in/opencms/bsnl/BSNL/services/broadband/BB_plans_less_speed.html

Currently your Fixed charges for BB Home UL 545 + Fixed charges for LL = 545 + 195 = 740
On plan change, you will save: 740 - 675 = Rs. 65 monthly.

Like I said before:
Also if you ever upgrade your plan to say "BBG ULD 795"
Security deposit for BB Home UL 545 (1 month) = 545 (you've already paid this)
Security deposit for BBG ULD 795 (1 month) = 795
BSNL will charge you = 795 - 545 = 250
If you again downgrade to BB Home UL 545, BSNL will deduct 250 from the payable amount.

So on plan change to a higher tariff, BSNL will charge, in your case: 675 - 545 = 130 only in your next bill.

Ok thank you so much for your valuable help sir 🙂

Hi everyone,
My new connection LL+BB plan 249.
In 1st bill paymet 1310rs.
In starting m pay 749 rs
And adjustments 1949rs.
And current charges 109.31rs
Amout payable 1310rs

Prev.bill-last payments +adjustments+current charges=balance payable

Wrong!!!

Correct...
249 + 109.31=358 (aprox.)

Tell me how much I deposit my bill?

Details feel vague. Add more details, when did you get the connection, did they say anything about installation or modem charges? Better post a snapshot of bill.
