coz this is not a masala board where reputations matter. you ask a question, you get an answer... as simple as that! we are not here to boost our egos 😛 i hope.
 
then remove it completely why have a system that is error prone and useless
 
umm there are many other features (including most text formatting tools) which i don't personally like on this forum. they are there. use them or not. it's your wish. users are free to disable reputation for their IDs if they want to.
 
if v disable it it will continue to show but becomes grey instead of green which probably means it will not increase but it will continue to show
 
exactly. it tell other members that you have disabled it so they cannot rep you.
 
when u disable rep system it shows gray but i think u can still rep others hence it shows points.
