Location?

Download http://www.nerve.org.za/mdma/index.html and post the screenshot. MDMA should be run with the Huawei Mobile Partner closed but dongle connected.

You're on 2G, hence the slow speeds.
Switch to HSPA/WCDMA preferred or HSPA/WCDMA only. I prefer the latter to get a continuous 3G signal. Also, the apn is outdated. New apn is mtnl.net
Access number stays same. Leave username password blank.

a little difference maybe..

btw.. am in south delhi.. near south ex

So this is 3G. Try checking the speeds at different locations in your house.

If it doesn't improve, bad luck.

What speeds were you expecting?

will try tomorrow.. i would be happy if i get 1 to 2 mbps.. good enough for me.. at the current speeds i cant even view youtube at its lowest quality.. sigh!

get a high quality extension usb cable preferably 5 metres and hang it near the window or balcony. this is what i do to get good signal and speed. with -85 to -87dBm signal quality you will face slow speed and frequent disconnections.

-85dBm is decent signal and doesn't warrant disconnections. I get around -83dBm at home and speeds are around 2-2.2mbit.

Though, using an extension cable is a good idea.

@OP
Lower the absolute value, the better. -51dBm is the max signal you can get.

-51 dbm is like sitting under a tower..i remember when i used to live below a tower,i had a -60dbm!!
Ahh Golden Days!!
