Availability & performance of BSNL 3g in Chennai

Is anyone using it in Chennai. Easy to get a 3g SIM? Can we keep recharging & using it for data alone? How is the performance?
I believe I can recharge using my Bsnl app. How about checking usage....
 
I took bsnl 3g data card in Bangalore and using it in Chennai for 8 months now with excellent speed and no problems. You can recharge online at portal.bsnl.in or on the bsnl app that you mentioned.
I highly recommend BSNL as you will save money. Private players will give much less data for the same amount what BSNL does.
BSNL has poor customer service and your problems will be solved only when you visit the exchange and talk to them. Customer service on
phone does not exist yet for BSNL. However service related issues will be only once or twice in an year so bearable. Go for BSNL.
 
Ok. I guess I will keep this in mind.. As of now though, I am likely to switch to a combo postpaid CUG plan from Airtel, still havent decided for sure, but yeah will have this as a backup ....
