Slow Download Speeds On Bitcomet

bsnl 900 plus
guys i use bit comet 0.79.....but the maximum speeds experienced is about 14kB/s...i have bsnl broadband ul tariff...please tell me if any configurations can be made to increase the sppeds.....
 
do u limit the upload speed

no...im quite a newbie....and anywayz even the upload sppeds are like 3-4kB/s....
 
ports forwarded ????..............and if not check if u can see "remote" connections in ur peers

havent port forwarded or such...though i did go to the site but was asked to choose a router...i use a wa1003a when i searched under Huawei modem all it showed was smartx modems...now im confused which to choose...
