Landline Goes Dead While Downloading

Im using the Home 500 plan. Using Type 2 modem(Huawei Quidway WA1003A). Recently i observed that when downloading between 2am - 8am, my modem gets disconnected quite frequently.Reason, the landline goes dead(no dialtone). subsequently my adsl lamp starts blinking and im unable to reconnect again.I have to make a call from my cellphone to landline to get it live. Once the landline is active, im able to connect to net.Has anybody experienced this bizzare problem. Is this bcoz of a problem in the modem or is it in the exchange?

Dude, just get the wiring at your home checked, n better if u manage to get a new one. BSNL is gonna do this free of cost....
