Busy when using as teather

When i use my tata indicom connection as wifi hotspot, anyone who calls me gets that my phone is busy.
Can somebody help me?

From what I understand CDMA does not support data and voice simulteneously. This shortcoming was fixed on LTE.

Even GPRS or EDGE didnt support data and voice simultaneously but then you will receive the call when someone calls you because the data will be put on hold. Voice is given preference over data.

Maybe there is a setting on CDMA smartphones on what to give preference?
