I am from Chennai and planning to buy new broadband connection and my usage is around 50 GB per month.
Please share you feedback on Tikona and Reliance ISPs in Pallikaranai.
Also suggest if any good ISP and plan is available in this area.

Anyone plz share ur experience..

Take tikona if the access point is very close to your house and there are no trees/material thing in b/w.
I had the problem as the access point was not so close and there were obstacles in signal travel. And so the service turned out to be worst for me.
As far as reliance is concerned check its service in your neighbourhood/city.
Btw I am going for reliance and applying for it.

Can you share reliance guy number near pallikaranai.. I registered in rcom website but no response for that

Thats what I said dude.Reliance's service depends on area.In my area there are no issue.Ask your neighbours or the ppl using reliance in your city

My sister lives in Bangalore and she has reliance 599 1mbps Internet and while the torrents are fine, but any downloads or browsing through "http" which is done via browser results in speeds much lower than 1mbps, the speed remain around 0.25 Megabits. It is actually because of bad reliance inifrastructure at that particular which result in packet data loss on anything through "http". The packet data loss can be upto 70% which is terrible. As a direct result the ping is terrible because the packets gets lost and therefore a lot of retries results in terrible pings of above 300ms.

So, ask your neighbourhood or friends from same city whether Reliance is good or bad in your area. It depends because reliance has different infrastructure everywhere.
