Hi Guys,
It seems that the major top national MSO's i.e. Hathway, In Digital, DEN will restructure (Update) their channel list post digitization.
Well this comes as the major competition to DTH as DTH have fixed channel No wherever the customer may be he will have the same LCN no throughout the country. But as of now Digital Cable TV MSO have limitation in making their LCN no common (same) across the country due to regional changes, local channels or technical limitations.
Post Digitization MSO will rework on their STB Channel list to make it same across the nation, they will also keep 50-100 LCN No common for Local cable channels as local channels can be added in these reserved slots wherever the service may be. Other channel no will remain fixed throughout the country so that people get convenience in surfing the channels. Also if a subscriber in delhi gets used to the channel list in delhi and he gets transferred to Bangalore, the channel list will remain the same, this will boost customer satisfaction.
These MSO have currently have already started working on the channel list to make it same across India.

Can any hathway digital cable tv user confirm about this ???
