Saw posters just now in Chennai (Teynampet area)

Called up the number. They are covering entire Mylapore now. Surroundings (Adyar, Besant Nagar etc to be covered in a month). Rest of Chennai soon after... So, lets see...
 
Time to ditch Airtel again! 😀 This time hopefully, forever.
 
Personally, I am hoping it will atleast result in drop of prices of the existing guys ....
 
Yes. At least there will be better plans to the users once they can cover most of the areas.
 
Guys called up the CC and these are the plans rite now
1299 25mbps till 60GB post fup 512kbps
1099 dont know the speed but post fup 512Kbps
999 15mbps till 40gb post fup 512kbps
Apparently it is FTTH thats what the CC is saying
 

Prices seem inline or only slightly different with what their website has even for Bangalore

I was hoping for a FUP between 125-150GB.
I'm looking at this plan - ACT Supreme :25Mbps @ Rs. 1,299 with 75GB.
I use a little over 100GB every month, so 75GB is not enough for me & the next plan is too much for me (ACT Exclusive: 50 Mbps @ Rs. 3,249 with 250 GB).
 
uberjon - Could you do a speedtest with speedof.me or one to a NYC based server? A pingtest (pingtest.net) would be great as well 🙂
 
Thanks uberjon. Airtel's international connectivity seems to be more consistent...I get 6-8Mbps to Singapore/New York. But, this is better than I expected after reading earlier reviews. When they do come to Nungambakkam, I'll have to give them a try 🙂

yeah even i need over 75GB. but 3249 is too costly.
Maybe they need to make a plan like 125-150GB at 2000Rs
