Lol @ title 😀

Apart from the fact that the only fun name for this combination would be AirSisTa (which is not half as funny as Batata, which the Birla-TATA- AT&T combination that became Idea Cellular was called)
AirSisTa is still better then Batata 😀
But this name is only imagination of author of article.
Will these 3 companies really merge. There was news about MTS-Aircel deal though few days ago, not sure why Tata wants to be part of it.

There were formal talks between Aircel-Uninor and Tata-Uninor. Problem with Uninor is that it has no 3G (never applied) though its cash-rich.

Reading further in Economic Times Article, it seems Tata is also willing to partner some other operator as Docomo may want to exit partnership from Tata Docomo.
Both Tata Teleservices, which is 26% owned by Japan's largest mobile company NTT DoCoMo, and Aircel have been struggling to pare their debt - around Rs 23,000 crore and Rs 22,000 crore, respectively. Standard Chartered Bank is advising Aircel on its debt-restructuring exercise.

Sistema, on the other hand, is cash rich and would be the dominant shareholder if the three companies agree to merge. The company, which is partly owned by the Russian government and operates in India through a joint venture with Shyam Telecom, has identified consolidation as the route to growth in the Indian market.
Uninor is also holding on after Unitech has left JV with Telenor, but they claim to be doing better is last few months with respect to ARPU in circles which it operates.

And here I thought DOCOMO wanted to acquire Tata's stake in Tata DOCOMO.

They may acquire if Govt approves (which I suppose is done) more FDI in Telecom sector. But not sure if Docomo really wants to continue their work in Indian market.
