i am from Hyderabad...I have a night Unlimited pack..Whenever it rains or it is Windy i get disconnected for the whole night....Is there any solution for this problem...
This is really funny coz when i ask my CTo whether he has a server he says he does not use a server and i get connected directly from the SIFY server somewhere in INdia through satellite......Are CTO's Mad...
could be that your operator looses his power....its most common phenomenon. Rain comes, those electricity people think it may be unsafe for people, switch of some buildings electricity for some time. This used to happen where i stayed earlier.
This is because the CTO is connected to Sify through a Wireless Link called SU and they switch it off when it rains to avoid burning it and the hubs and switches.Well, i previously faced this problem but it was solved from the day i got a SU installed on my own roof. now the power is under my hand so it works whether it rains or any damn whether
No I m not my own CTO, but the CTO here is having a large network and it was not feasible to get a breakfree connection to my house after a long chain of Hubs and Switches. So on constant talking to him, he got a SU installed on my roof to extend his network far.Thats it, now i get amazing speedy download and that too with ZERO Downtime.
Okay, so you provide the power to the SU. Hey then which computer is the gateway for your LAN? Is the SU itself or is it your computer attached to the SU? Also what kind of speed do you get on your 48 pack 🙂?
lies between 60-84 KBPS sometimes even more and low only when sify severs are under maintenance.
Got some exceptionally high speeds also such as 3 MBPS, when some problem was there with the Sify Severs and was able to download 1.5 GB (Movie) in just 1.5 hrs at approx 300 KBPS !!!
