Hi !!!

Well I am new to this forum but not new to Sify BroadBand.

I have been using it for around 1.5 years or more i suppose.

I saw that people here are trying to get an ftp server on their systems.

So to tell them i have an FTP Server Installed already

you can see it at ftp://cbr.myftp.org

Connect Using

User: sifybb
p@$$word: sifybb

***** IMP ******

U can connect it using WS_FTP Pro ONLY

I would tell u how i got this working but after some time, its still under testing phase.

Regards

i got it long back 😛 and then took it down. no use putting it up i had even an HTTP server running 🙂

Great !!!I am also trying to have the HTTP ServerPlease would u tell me what FTP and HTTP server were u using.Because For this FTP i could only connect it with WS_FTP ProRegards

since ur usin no-ip service , go for ser-u ftp server and as for http this is a free http sever called ABYSS WEB SERVER X1 🙂

By Using Serv-U also, i cannot get the ftp working in the browser. that PASV problem.

And Moreover i think my port 80 is block because i cannot connect the Webserver from outside ip address (http://221.x.x.x) but can connect locally using (http://10.x.x.x)

So what to do now!!

Regards

I got HTTP file share working and also a ftp server b4r (forgot the name 😀 ) As of ur pasv problem m too got same with my ftp server . I kept ports for pasv some 1040-1800 (low ports ) then it worked . But i am not able to remember that port range too 🙁 Try ur luck and it may work ....

I used first listed freeware ftp server on google 😛 .....

Its stupid idea running ftp/http server with sify conection . Or u put "IT MAY TAKE A DAY TO OPEN" on your homepage

I would tell u how i got this working but after some time, its still under testing phase.
[/b]

lol 😛

My Ports are blocked, its confirmed !!

Well, I hosted two websites on my pc one at port 80 and other at 23 and then used online checker utility for open ports.

http://onlinecheck.emsisoft.com

but it showed my port 80 closed.

Here is the problem sify is blocking ports.

Regards

i tried to use NETFile Server as well as GuiltFTP...none of them worked for me...it's basically because of the network structure and i don't think sify guys know how to solve it... 😉

Hey CBR, only WS_FTPYour server opens in IE just fine!!!N btw, its "lightning" fast for a server on a sify connection!!Nice job dude, cool collection. Just add latests to your punjabi section! 😉
