Airtel Broadband using mobile authentication for modem authentication?

Warthog continues to send me absurd mails. His latest mail claims that Airtel is using sms authentication for modem logins.

plz post this in the airtel forum.They have removed the old userid pass and replaced with mobile phone authentication everytime you log in.What if many people are using the same account?.What if mobile services went down.

Yup. It's absurd for one. And way too complicated for an idiotic company like Airtel to apply. Plus it is insanely stupid.
