I recently purchased an Android based tablet - Karbonn ST8. As per user manaul only couple of specific hardware models of data card dongles supported on this tablet as mentioned below:

Now my query is:
1. Can I still use any other data card which is not on the support list above with the assumption it would work with manual APN settings. I have Tata Photon plus EpiValley Model SEC-8089.
2. If above statement holds good, what would be the APN setting for Tata Photon for Android tablet. To my googling so far, I have tried multiple settiing but none worked. I could not see the singnal sign coming up on tablet, though data card goes from amber to green after couple secconds of connection.
I am a corporate client of Tata for data services, but did not get any help from customer care - neither from chat nor from call center. Over the chat support person pointed me to corporate call center number, which in turn asked me to reach nearest data centre.
