Prepaid balance through SMS

So I'm giving out my previous mobile i.e. Motorola Electrify a.k.a. Motorola Photon 4g to my sis. She on Vodafone prepaid. Now the problem is, in this phone USSD codes doesn't work. Is there any way to get balance via SMS by sending a keyword like BAL or BALANCE to a particular number?

I really trust Vodafone, likes their services & Network...My Edge on Vodafone network is more than 8 Years.

But this types of idiots are spoiling their .....
