Touch Screen Form

Hi,I have an old HTC VIVA mobile which is almost 4 years old. I want to buy new one. I am looking around.I have a question about touch screen form i read for newer mobiles now. My mobile says, it has resistive touchscreen where as new mobiles usually say, they have capacitive touchscreen. My question is, what is a difference between resistive and capacitive touch screen? What difference does it make to the phone? Thanks.

Capacitive >>>> Resistive. It's difficult to explain the difference as I'm online via phone and one can list a lot of advantages of capacitive over resistive. Just Google it, you'll find many useful links. And remember that all phones now have a capacitive touchscreen, I don't think any company still makes phones with a resistive touchscreen.

resistive requires force on the display to make it work. capacitive requires a light touch. the difference are substantial.

Please tell me which one is better?
(i want to buy a mobile with Android ICS, 1Ghz processor, 3G support, wi-fi of course will get now a days, SKYPE must) - thats it

1 - XPERIA J : Phone : Mobile Phone : Sony India (i am getting this for 14000)
2 - Xperia Neo L : Phone : Mobile Phone : Sony India (i am getting this for 13000 - yes even less than xperia J)
3 - Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 - Samsung Galaxy S Duos (i am getting this for 16400)

please suggest me which one of the above are better to buy? (or any other within 15k range). Thanks.

I know its hard but just a little extend your budget !The J is good, check out sites like androidauthority for reviews and stuff.

Thanks but why Xperia J is better than Xperia NEO? i think NEO is more expensive than J so it must have something more than what J offers! please suggest.

i have sold my HTC mobile for 2000 bucks. please tell me which one is better?1 - XPERIA J : Phone : Mobile Phone : Sony India (i am getting this for 14000)2 - Xperia Neo L : Phone : Mobile Phone : Sony India (i am getting this for 13000 - yes even less than xperia J)3 - Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 - Samsung Galaxy S Duos (i am getting this for 16400)

go for xperia j.wont suggest Galaxy s duos untill u really need dual sim phone.xperia j is slimmer, more internal memory, bigger battery than xperia neo l.go for xperia u if u are budget constraint, available for 11000/- (plus discount coupon) on ebay.inonly thing is u cant add memory card and have 4GB user accessible memory.
